Everything, free, on your own files.
How Krovi stacks up against a paid closed-source panel (Vayli), a pile of separate free tools, and a typical paid utility suite. This comparison is clean-room: the Vayli column is filled only from its public listing, and anything we can’t confirm from public information says Not verified rather than a guess. We never inspected its binary.
- Yes Yes
- No No
- Paid A paid product
- Partial Only partly covered
- Varies Depends on the specific tool
- Not verified Can’t be confirmed from public info

Where Krovi is still behind today
Honesty is the brand, so here is the candid part. Krovi is new, and a mature paid app has advantages we don’t pretend away.
Last reviewed 1 November 2026. Spotted a mistake? Open an issue and we’ll fix it.
- Windows only. There is no macOS, Linux or mobile build. If you need cross-platform today, Krovi isn’t it.
- New and less battle-tested. Established apps have years of real-world use, bug reports and edge-case hardening that we haven’t accumulated. The voice and live-data features of 0.2 have had the least exposure.
- On-device voice has trade-offs. Recognition that never leaves your PC can trail large cloud services in accuracy and language coverage, and Krovi’s voice is a closed list of commands, not open-ended chat, in English (US) only. That is the price of privacy.
- Windows 11 is the tested platform. Krovi has only been tested on Windows 11; Windows 10 is untested.
- Holidays cover three regions. The bundled holiday data covers India, the US and Great Britain for 2025 to 2027 (new in v0.2); other countries are not included yet.
- Unsigned installer. Krovi isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn. Checksums are published for every release.
- “Not verified” is honest, not dismissive. It means we couldn’t confirm a competitor’s feature from public information. It may well exist. We’d rather say “we don’t know” than guess.
